Steven D. Milburn, Ed.D., Director of Development Steve joined the Community Foundation in early 2010 as the Director of Development on the Development and Stewardship team. Steve has over 10 years experience in advancement work in alumni affairs and in fundraising at the University of Louisville and most recently as the Director of Development for Student Affairs at the University of South Florida. Prior to that he worked in student affairs at the University of Louisville, was a high school teacher and coach in southern Indiana and worked for the YMCA of Greater Louisville. A native of Louisville, Steve graduated from Atherton High School in 1968 and has a bachelor’s degree in English and two master’s degrees in education from U of L and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Kentucky. During his career, Steve has held offices in several professional associations in higher education, including serving as the President of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics in 1990. He has also served on the board of the Fundraising Executives of Metro Louisville. |
