ABOUT THIS SEMINAR Philanthropic clients are faced with a menu of options when deciding on the form their giving will take. Advisors who understand the importance of helping the client evaluate the legal structure, the administrative and management responsibilities, as well as the duration and cost of their choice, provide a valuable service to their clients. The myriad of legislative and statutory regulations surrounding the creation and administration of a philanthropic vehicle, and the specter of incurring penalties for an unintended violation of the rules can seem overwhelming to the uninitiated. Kathyrn Miree will take you through the challenges of helping your client choose a philanthropic form and deal with the legislative issues. She’ll guide you through the advantages and disadvantages of seven practical options for family philanthropy, and help you craft a client conversation that will gather all the critical facts for making the best decision about a philanthropic form for your client. And if your client has chosen an inappropriate charitable giving vehicle, you will learn how to change gears to implement a new option that resolves the issues.
