Community Foundation of Louisville Included on Three National Top 100 Lists

The Community Foundation of Louisville has earned three spots in “Benchmarking Beyond Asset Size: Top 100 Lists,” a report ranking community foundations from across the nation. The Foundation ranks number 15 on the list of Most Activity Volume, number 41 of Most Active Grant Makers and number 75 for Most Gifts per Capita.

“Our foundation’s rankings underscore that we live in one of the most generous communities in the country,” says Susan Barry, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Louisville. “I think we have always known this, but the data from this report demonstrates that we have a vibrant and robust giving culture in the greater Louisville area.”

The report was published by CF Insights, which compiles and distributes data on best practices for community foundations nationwide. CF Insights was established by the Council on Foundations, a national association.

In 2009 The Community Foundation of Louisville received more than $26 million in gifts. Total grantmaking from donor advised and designated funds as well as competitive grants and scholarships topped $32 million.
